Dr. Jerry Prevo

Dr. Prevo is a graduate of Baptist Bible College, Springfield, Missouri, and has done additional work at Belmont College, Tennessee Temple University, and the University of Tennessee. He was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree in 1978 by Hyles Anderson College and in 1993 was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree by Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. During the past 46 years, a 2100 seat auditorium, educational building, gymnasium and school complex of over 350,000 square feet, have been built on the 20-acre site at Northern Lights Boulevard and Baxter road, with no debt. The church operates a Christian School with over 500 students, grades K-12. The school also has preschool ages two, three, and four along with all-day child care. Besides being the Senior Pastor of Anchorage Baptist Temple, he is the founder and CEO of three radio stations KATB 89.3 FMKJLP 88.9 FM, and a contemporary Christian music station, KAFC 93.7 Everybody’s Station that started broadcasting in 1999. He is also CEO of the television station KCFT Channel 35, broadcasting family programming 24 hours a day. Dr. Prevo can be seen daily on television on the “Anchorage Baptist Temple Hour with Dr. Jerry Prevo,” and heard daily on his radio program, “Bible Principles To Live By.” The Alaska Journal of Commerce has listed him as “one of the 25 most influential and powerful individuals in Alaska.” He has traveled extensively in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. Since 2003, Dr. Prevo has served as Chairman of the Board at Liberty University  which has a total enrollment of over 110,000 students. He also serves on the board of Samaritans Purse, and has been married to his wife, Carol since 1964.
