ABT Women

“God's Role for women is invaluable.”

ABT Women's Ministry is designed to bring women together to create a space where they feel valued and included, to promote spiritual growth, and to lead others to Christ. We believe this can happen when women gather together and are discipled which, as a result, will impact their family, workplace, and community.

From being a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend, women need the encouragement of other women to help them be effective in the ministry in which God has placed them. ABT Women’s Ministry offers Bible studies, special women’s events, and special activities for all moms and their children, along with other groups to build, encourage, and provide a social network.

Recovery Alaska is a place to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the “8 Recovery Principles.” This experience allows us to “be changed.” By working and applying these Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive and dysfunctional behaviors.

This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others. As we progress through the program we discover our personal, loving and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ, the one and only true Higher Power.

Other Ministries

Moms in Prayer

International

Experience the joy of replacing anxiety with peace and hope when you pray with other moms. Join fellow moms, grandmas, aunts, and other women who all desire to pray for their children and schools, from preschool through college. Our purpose is to pray for our children, teachers, staff and schools; to pray that our schools will be directed by biblical values and high moral standards; to provide hope and strength to moms who carry heavy burdens for their children.

The ACS group, led by Sheri Pankion, meets in the CMC Library, during the school year.

Widows' Connection

The ABT Widow’s Connection wants to come alongside our widows and help them in this new and challenging role and road they are walking. It’s been said there are three things that we all need: something to do, something to love, and something to look forward to. We want to help you do these three things. We get together periodically for encouragement, fun, fellowship, and Bible study.
